Last week we had the great fortune of meeting two motorcycle travelers at our Seattle HQ as they stopped by for a rest and picked up some parts. Ara and Spirit have been traveling around the U.S. for the past 4 years on a 1995 BMW R1100GS with a custom Dauntless sidecar. Ara’s BMW has over 230,000 miles on the clock and is still going strong.

The Touratech-USA crew has been hard at work the last several weekends scouting out the best off-road routes for the upcoming BMW XPLOR Pacific Northwest Adventure Rally.
A group of guys from Touratech and GlobeRiders needed a good excuse to get out of the office. And what better way to escape home and business responsibilities than setting out on a multi-day motorcycle adventure off the beaten path through the rugged and uninhabited land that stretches along the OBDR – the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route.
Castaic, CA – (May 1, 2010) In a display of tremendous balance, precision handling, and total control of the BMW R1200GS, Touratech’s Iain Glynn put on a show for spectators by out-maneuvering the field of competitors at the 2010 BMW GS Trophy Challenge, earning the top position, representing the USA at the International GS Trophy in South Africa this November.
Castaic, CA – (April 30, 2010) Riding his 450 pound BMW HP2 with trials riding precision, Touratech-USA President, Tom Myers negotiated the Adventure Rider Challenge (ARC) course on Saturday with a nearly perfect score to place 1st. Spectators and fellow competitors could not believe their eyes as they watched Myers tackle obstacles such as railroad tie lined hill climbs, deep mud holes, and sand pits effortlessly on the 1200cc enduro bike.
When BMW revised the R1200RT for 2010, Touratech needed a way to test out some new Streetline accessories for the bike, and conveniently, Herbert and Ramona needed to take a vacation. The result was a 31-day, 5000 mile tour through Scotland.
