In our opinion, there’s really no better way to compare two things, than to put them side by side. It’s an excellent opportunity to observe obvious differences and to note the things they have in common.
Now that 2016 has started it seems like a good time to take a moment and look back on the past year. I realize I rode in three of the four timezones that make up the lower 48 states last year.
Touratech-USA CEO, Paul Guillien and journalist Jonathan Bentman visited Touratech’s headquarters in Germany to see the product line for the new Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin. As luck would have it, they found the keys to the Touratech-modified test bike and took it for a ride.

Lisa’s hacking cold wasn’t going to stop her enjoying what we are here to see. The Perito Moreno Glacier and so by 10:00am we’d climbed back into our layers of riding gear, somehow managed to do up the strained buckles on our boots and were waddling downstairs and out to the bikes.
The Backcountry Discovery Routes team was on the road again – this time in Idaho. As with previous projects, the aim was to unlock the potential of a US state for adventure bike riders. The result was a fully documented route across some of the most beautiful off-road sections of the Rocky Mountains.
