Castaic, CA – (May 1, 2010) In a display of tremendous balance, precision handling, and total control of the BMW R1200GS, Touratech’s Iain Glynn put on a show for spectators by out-maneuvering the field of competitors at the 2010 BMW GS Trophy Challenge, earning the top position, representing the USA at the International GS Trophy in South Africa this November.
Castaic, CA – (April 30, 2010) Riding his 450 pound BMW HP2 with trials riding precision, Touratech-USA President, Tom Myers negotiated the Adventure Rider Challenge (ARC) course on Saturday with a nearly perfect score to place 1st. Spectators and fellow competitors could not believe their eyes as they watched Myers tackle obstacles such as railroad tie lined hill climbs, deep mud holes, and sand pits effortlessly on the 1200cc enduro bike.
When BMW revised the R1200RT for 2010, Touratech needed a way to test out some new Streetline accessories for the bike, and conveniently, Herbert and Ramona needed to take a vacation. The result was a 31-day, 5000 mile tour through Scotland.

Helge Pedersen visited Touratech to prepare his new bike for Tierra del Fuego. Helge is leading a small group on a scouting trip to explore a route to the Southern tip of Argentina for a future GlobeRiders tour. His bike of choice for the trip is a new BMW R1200GS/Adv. Touratech sponsored Greg Tracy blasted up the 2009 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb to take the win in the 1200cc class onboard his Touratech equipped BMW HP2. Greg handily beat the competition covering the 12.42 mile course in 12:29 with an average speed of 59.7 MPH. First run in 1916, Pikes Peak is the second oldest motorsports race in the US, behind the Indy 500.
