2011 BMW XPLOR Adventure Rally a Success!

This year’s BMW XPLOR Pacific NW Adventure Rally was a huge success thanks to the many participants, volunteers, ride leaders, and of course, the RawHyde Adventures crew. We had a record number of people (roughly 180) show up to the beautiful base camp near Leavenworth, Washington for a weekend full of epic riding, great food, and good company.

2011 Erzberg Rodeo: Touratech Racing Ranks in the Top Ten!

Touratech Racing has again finished in the top ten at the Erzberg Rodeo, the hardest Red Bull Hare Scramble of them all! Gerhard Forster finished as the best rider on a four-stroke bike, the best Husqvarna pilot and the best German competitor. With his tenth place finish, Forster has again proven his world-class status in extreme enduro riding.

Touratech Weekend Trivia

Last weekend, when Dakar Rally racer, Jonah Street, visited Touratech-USA, we asked the three time Baja 500 winner to autograph a copy of Outrider Journal. Featured in their first issue, Jonah obliged and we have since decided to host a trivia contest to give away this one-of-a-kind collectible!

2011 Iron Butt Rally

The Iron Butt Association’s biennial Iron Butt Rally, an 11-day cross country ride where participants collect points for meeting deadlines and taking their photo in front of predetermined landmarks, gets underway this Monday at 10 a.m. The rally starts at the Marriott Seattle Airport Hotel, with more than 150 riders from around the world participating in this year’s event. Ahead of the start, a handful of IBA members have stopped by Touratech-USA to pick up a few last minute items for their motorcycles.

GlobeRiders “Tips From The Road” – Chain Maintenance

Helge Pedersen, famed adventure rider and author of "10 Years on 2 Wheels," took some time during GlobeRiders" recent ‘Africa Adventure,’ to film a handful of informative ‘Tips from the Road.’ In this installment, Helge explains the fundamentals of motorcycle chain maintenance, including proper chain tension and lubrication intervals.
