BMW Motorrad unveiled the highly anticipated replacement for their ever popular R1200GS at the INTERMOT motorcycle show in Cologne, Germany earlier today. The 2013 model, powered by a 125 hp, 1,170 cc water-cooled four stroke flat twin engine, comes equipped with ABS and Dynamic ESA, as well as a new LED headlamp with integrated daytime running light.
The 2013 BMW R1200GS will be available in four colors: Racing Red, Alpine White, Blue Fire and Thunder Grey Metallic.
Three different equipment options will be available for the 2013 BMW R1200GS: Touring, Dynamic and Off-Road.
TOURING:
The Touring package is aimed at riders who enjoy every kilometre on asphalt or chippings and would prefer not to get off their R1200GS at all. These options have been put together for comfortable touring with minimal fatigue on the R1200GS.
DYNAMIC:
The new R1200GS demonstrates its dynamic character not only through impressive agility in every riding situation, but also visually in the form of the new BMW LED headlamp with integrated daytime running light and LED indicators. In addition, the suspension features ASC, Dynamic ESA, and the riding modes for pure riding pleasure on a fast weekend trip.
OFF-ROAD:
This package was compiled specifically for those who want to enjoy their R1200GS pure, but do not intend to ignore those practical extras. The daytime running light presents a clear advantage for visual appeal and safety, and ASC and disengageable ABS provide adequate traction particularly on loose surfaces.
