Following it’s unveiling at INTERMOT this week, KTM released a handful of photos of their new 1190 Adventure R, a 140 hp off-road ready version of their highly anticpated replacement for the 990 Adventure R.
Powered by a 140 hp LC8 V-Twin engine that is derived from the RC8 sportbike, the new 1190 Addventure R features a 21″ wheel up front and an 18″ wheel in the back, as well as dual discs with four-piston Brembo calipers.
The 1190 Adventure R is said to have 220 millimetres of suspension travel front and rear, as well as wider handlebars in order to “compensate for slightly higher steering forces.” Seat height is increased to make up for the added suspension travel.
Additionally, the new 1190 Adventure R will come equipped with switchable Bosch ABS and traction control, both of which will have an off-road mode. And at just 518 lbs, the 1190 Adventure R will weigh less than many current model ADV motorcycles.
